Google Pay collects payment credentials from customers. You’ll also need a payment provider configured in Orchestra to process the transactions.
1. Create a Business Profile
- Go to the Google Pay & Wallet Console
- Sign in with your Google account
- Complete the business profile setup
2. Register Your Website
- Add your website URL in the console.
- Select Direct as the integration type. Orchestra decrypts the Google Pay payment data for you; do not select a gateway integration.
- Under Google Pay API > Encryption keys, add the Orchestra public encryption key. Request it from support@orchestrasolutions.com.
- Upload the Orchestra Attestation of Compliance (AOC) as your PCI document, also obtained from support. Google requires the full AOC, not the one-page certificate.
- Submit the domain, public key and AOC together for approval. Google reviews your website and integration before granting production access.
Google may ask for an AOC in your own company name. Explain that card processing is outsourced to Orchestra, a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider that holds the private key and decrypts the payment data on your behalf. See PCI scope and compliance.
3. Get Your Merchant ID
After Google approves your integration, you’ll receive a Merchant ID, a unique identifier for your business. This is required for production. You can test without a Merchant ID using Google’s test environment. The Merchant ID is only required for production.
4. Store in Orchestra
Store your Merchant ID in the Orchestra Portal. Set the Merchant Display Name (your business name shown to customers during payment).Next Steps
